“Kuni is an fine teacher. I had previously learned a little Japanese, but that was 10 years earlier and I had not progressed very far. I took lessons from Kuni twice a week for five months, after which I traveled to Japan for three weeks. I was delighted to find that I had learned enough from our lessons that I was able, not only to do basic things like order from restaurants and such, but hold conversations in Japanese and get to know some of the people I met.
